“The Hand Of The Artist” is a 5 minute segment derived from video in the multimedia installation “Thingification” 2012 in which the artist documented himself in various investigations of trying to bring a discarded A/V tower to life. The films were all made using the tower’s 3 VCR decks and an analog patch bay. During the process the artist added sculptural elements to the a/v tower turning it into a kind of self portrait.
